The extra needle penetration power of this model lets you sew across heavier fabrics and be creative with multiple layers. There is also a needle up/down button for selecting whether the needle should stop in the fabric (great for pivoting work without missing a stitch) or in the up position, to avoid needle damage. The extra-wide extension table detaches for free-arm sewing.
