Mini Printing Press

P694

Product code: P694

When space or budgets are a problem and you need to use specialist equipment, this mini printing press is the perfect solution. Ideal for the individual user or small groups beginning to learn the principles of printmaking, it gives a surprisingly good impression for its size. It has an adjustable roller and comes with a felt blanket. Suitable for etching and lino printing.

Plate bed area is 410mm long x 250mm wide so it's perfect for 270 x 200mm prints. Supplied with two G-Clamps. Clamp the press securely to your work surface before using it. Oiling or greasing the moving parts of the press from time to time is vital to keep it running smoothly. No inks are included with this press.

Please note: this printing press is NOT gear-driven,it relies on friction like our P690 Printing Press range. If you need a gear-driven press please see our P693 Professional Printing Presses range.

If you are having problems when printing with thicker plates such as lino make some master off-cuts. These can be made from the same material as your plate (i.e.,lino off-cuts) or use something like dense mounting board which is the same depth as your design plate. Cut 2 narrow strips which measure the whole length of the metal base plate (approx. 20mm x 415mm x the depth of your lino) and using masking tape stick them to the very edges of both side of the bottom plate. This means when your lino design is in place and your blanket and metal top plate are on top, the roller can run smoothly along the entire length of the lino without stopping at the lino edge.
